
Kathmandu, April 21
The government has made public the key decisions of the Cabinet meeting held today.
The Cabinet meeting took place on Tuesday afternoon at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. Minister for Communications, Information and Technology Bikram Timsina announced the decisions.
According to him, the Cabinet has approved the tabling of a bill in the Federal Parliament to amend three different Acts.
The key decisions are as follows:
β To form a recommendation committee for the appointment of the Chairperson of the Nepal Securities Board, led by National Planning Commission Vice-Chair Gunakar Bhatta, with Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyaya and Bhuwan Kumar Dahal, Kathmandu, as members.
β To approve the tabling in the Federal Parliament of a bill to amend the Nepal Special Service Act 2042.
β To approve the tabling in the Federal Parliament of a bill to amend the House of Representatives Election Act 2074.
β To approve the tabling in the Federal Parliament of a bill to amend the Voter List Act 2073.
β To appoint Dilliraj Acharya of Pyuthan as Chairperson of the Problematic Cooperative Management Committee, and to nominate Navaraj Simkhada of Dhading and Roshan Bahadur Shakya of Lalitpur as members.
